Annual Lincoln Day Program with Lake Land College

The Courthouse Museum doors will open at 6 p.m. Several museum items associated with Lincoln in Effingham County will be prominently displayed. Period music by the local FACE Orchestra will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m. The building is handicapped accessible and equipped with an elevator. Speakers include Lake Land College history instructor, David Seiler, who will set the stage for life in Illinois in 1830. The Honorable Ron Spears, retired circuit judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit and Lincoln enthusiast, will deliver the main presentation with stories about Lincoln's first year in Illinois. This is the 5th Annual Celebration of Lincoln and His Times brought to you by the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum Association and Lake Land College.
