Effingham Fire Department Safety Essay Contest

Winner of the contest will have their name put on a fire truck for a year. Contest is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grad students in Unit 40 Junior High, St. Anthony and Sacred Heart Junior High. There will be one winner from each school. Winners will have their photos taken with them standing next to a fire truck.

Essay subject is: The Importance of Exit Drills in the Home (E.D.I.T.H.) and include the steps to make an E.D.I.T.H. plan. The essay should be 500 words or less. Essays must be received by April 13, 2007. You can bring them to the Fire Department or mail them to:
