Firefighter Larry Pemberton Retires

On January 8, 2007, the Effingham Fire Department recognized Firefighter Larry Pemberton who retired after 23 years of loyal and dedicated service. Firefighter Pemberton served this community faithfully for 16 years as a paid on call firefighter for the Effingham Fire Department and prior to that was a volunteer firefighter for 7 years with Shumway Fire Protection District. Firefighter Pemberton is currently employed full-time with Wente Plumbing & Heating and resides in Effingham with his wife Lisa and their children.
