COMMISSIONER LARRY MICENHEIMER

Larry Micenheimer was elected Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements in 2007. Chris Huelsbusch, Street and Sewer Acting Director, is a member of Larry’s staff.

Larry is a 1969 graduate of Taylorville High School. He attended Eastern Illinois University and University of Illinois where he received his bachelors and masters degrees in education, respectively.

He retired in 2005 after 32 years in education, including 29 years at Effingham High School as a counselor, driver education instructor and coach. Larry currently works at Koerner Distributors and as a Unit 40 Bus Driver.

Larry and his wife, Lisa, a teacher at Teutopolis Grade School, reside at 907 N. Merchant St. They have three children: Andy, Tyler and Haley.
