NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ACCESSORY BUILDING VARIANCE
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Effingham, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on June 23, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the City Council Room at City Hall located at 201 East Jefferson Avenue, in Effingham, Illinois, at which time and place all interested persons may participate in the public hearing by presenting testimony for or against and ask questions on a petition submitted per Article 29 of Appendix B to the City of Effingham Municipal Code (Zoning Ordinance No. 44-89), requesting a variance be granted to allow the construction of an accessory building with a maximum area of 2,320 square feet at a maximum height not to exceed 24 feet which exceeds the allowable maximum area of 1,200 square feet and the allowable maximum height of 20 feet for an accessory building per Article 5.3.(I) of said Appendix B on the subject real estate located in a R-1 Single-Family Residence District with a Planned Residence District overlay. This Notice is also posted on the City website and provides the ability to submit comments electronically.
