Tom Webb

Deputy Chief Tom Webb has been with the Effingham Police Department since 2010.  He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice Studies.  Deputy Chief Tom Webb is also a graduate of Class 529 from Northwestern University Staff and Command.

During his tenure with the department, Deputy Chief Tom Webb has served in various capacities, including Field Training Officer, Field Training Program Coordinator, Crisis Intervention Team Member, Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator, Explorer Advisor, Lead Homicide Investigator, Child Death Task Force Member, and Certified Forensic Interviewer.  Deputy Chief Tom Webb has held the positions of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and now Deputy Chief of Police.

Deputy Chief Webb resides in Effingham County with his wife and their two children.
