A focus group meeting will be conducted pertaining to Emergency Services: Fire, Police, Emergency Management, Dispatch/Telecommunications, and Emergency Medical Services/Ambulance on Monday, December 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall (201 E. The comprehensive management of all provisions of the City's Personnel Policies and Procedures is the mission of the Human Resources Department. These are some of our responsibilities:

  • Union negotiations
  • Managing collective bargaining agreements
  • Managing fringe benefits (health insurance, life insurance, pensions)
  • Monitoring employee earned time-off
  • Facilitating employee retirement planning
  • Workplace safety
  • Managing the City's general liability, auto, workers' compensation, and property insurance
  • Facilitating the Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee
  • Facilitating the Safety Committee and overseeing safety policy
  • Assisting employees with any needs that are relevant to their work with the City
