The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

Notice is hereby given that the City Plan Commission of the City of Effingham, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on December 12, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, located at 201 East Jefferson Avenue, in the City of Effingham, Illinois, at which time and place all interested persons may participate in the Public Hearing by presenting testimony for or against and ask questions on a Text Amendment to Article 1, Article 3, Article 4, Article 6, Article 24, Article 26 and Article 27 of Appendix B (Zoning Ordinance No. 44-89) of the City of Effingham Municipal Code to update definitions and terminology regarding Modular Dwellings and Manufactured Homes.  T
