Notice of Public Hearing – Rezone B5 to B2

Special Use (42) – Vacation/Short Term Rental – 915 Outer Belt West

Notice is hereby given that the City Plan Commission of the City of Effingham, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on October 14, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, located at 201 East Jefferson Avenue, in the City of Effingham, Illinois, at which time and place all interested persons may participate in the Public Hearing by presenting testimony for or against and ask questions on a petition to amend the present zoning regulations:

1.     change the zoning classification from B-5 Highway Commercial District to B-2 General Commercial District

2.     grant Special Use Permit (42) Vacation – Short Term Rental in a B-1 Neighborhood Shopping District, B-2 General Commercial District, B-3 Central Business District or M-1 Light Industrial District.
