The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

How are liquor license codes regulated?

The local liquor ordinance must adopt rules and regulations that are imposed by the State Liquor Control Commission. Additionally, the Local Liquor Ordinance may contain rules and regulations that are more restrictive than the State, but never less restrictive. Effingham liquor establishments located within the city limits are regulated by an adopted Liquor Control Ordinance which is part of the Municipal Code of the City of Effingham.
