The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

What should I do when I get a phone call from a telemarketer representing the Effingham Fire Department?

This is certainly a ‘red flag’ indicating that the solicitation is probably not legitimate, as the solicitor is not sanctioned to identify themselves as a member of the Effingham Fire Department.
