As the mayor, I want to welcome you to the City of Effingham.  Effingham is located in the heart of central Illinois where Interstates 57 and 70; Illinois State Routes 45, 40, and 33; and two rail lines intersect.  Our excellent location, coupled with our fine schools and health care facilities, has made Effingham a prime site for businesses and industry.  Our easy access, many fine restaurants, retail shops, motels, and recreational amenities also make us a prime destination for visitors and guests. 

 

Effingham strives to continue to be a great place to live, work, shop, and play.  We continually strive to move forward, grow, and maximize our potential.
