A timeline of public meetings has been set to finalize the Effingham 2050 Comprehensive Plan. These meetings are an opportunity for you to express your opinions and ideas about the final draft of the Plan. Building and construction permits

Our Building and Zoning division protects the public by making sure that buildings in Effingham are constructed safely. We review building and site plans, issue permits, and conduct inspections.

Inspections

We will inspect your project as work progresses to make sure everything is safe and meets codes and regulations. Even if you don’t need a permit, you will probably need an inspection at some point.
