The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

Business districts

The City of Effingham has five business districts located throughout the community. The funds generated in the district are used for eligible cost within the district boundaries. The main use of these funds is to make needed improvements that benefit the properties located within the district.
