Illinois Certified Super Site
The Illinois Super Sites meet standards typically required for very large industrial projects. Thus, if your company is or may be in the market for a 250+ acre site with high capacity utilities, rail service and interstate access, check out Effingham’s certified site. Information is included that will expedite the site selection review process.
Effingham Railroad
The City of Effingham is home to the Effingham Railroad. It was built in 1999 and designed as an economic development tool to attract new industries to the area. The Railroad connects to the Canadian National/Illinois Central and CSX railroads. There are industrial sites available along the Effingham Railroad with high visibility from I-57/I-70.
