The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

Effingham's location and transportation system has been the calling card for many industrial and commercial companies to locate in our business parks and retail areas.

Effingham:

  • Is a micropolitan center
  • Draws workers from an eight county area
  • Has a trade population of 175,000

Being a regional center, people travel to Effingham to work, shop and for their healthcare needs. The development causes our daytime population to double.

Effingham is a progressive community that has the tools to make every business successful. We invite you and your business to partner with us and enjoy the benefits of a community with a future.
