A Homestretch Timeline of meetings and objectives has been set pertaining to the Effingham 2050 Comprehensive Plan.  These meetings are an opportunity for you to express your opinion and ideas about the final draft of the Plan. To view the Plan, please go to: Comprehensive Plan.  The CSO Pollution Prevention Plan and CSO Operational Plan, regarding the City's sanitary sewage collection system, are now posted online at: CSO Reports.

Police Ride-Along Program

The Ride-Along Program provides an opportunity for college students to experience Law Enforcement functions firsthand. Students 18 years of age or older who are interested in the functions of the Effingham Police Department are invited to file a Ride-Along Request/Waiver of Liability with the Department and, upon approval, may ride with one of the uniform officers on patrol.

Students must be enrolled in a criminal justice program through university or college.
